Mission

The mission of the Department of Electrical Engineering derives from the mission of the University at Buffalo and the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS). Specifically, the department mission is to serve our constituencies by providing a high-quality, relevant, and accessible education at the undergraduate and graduate levels. This education is intended to impart strong fundamental and applied knowledge, share practical experience, and provide research opportunities to prepare our students for careers in industry, academia, or the public sector. As a result, the State of New York and the nation derive benefits in the form of an educated populace, new knowledge, and technology.

For information about the Undergraduate Educational Objectives and their relation to the Mission of the department, see the
ABET page.
